The Tamar Golan Africa Centre serves as a bridge between Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and African universities via collaborative research, visiting lecturers and student exchange programs. The Africa Centre draws upon BGU’s academic and social strengths through research, partnerships, volunteering and activism in Israel and in Africa. Students are encouraged to move beyond a purely academic perspective and engage in the political, social and cultural challenges facing the continent.
